On Guard by Nic Coviello

While I was sitting in front of Gorky's "Charred Beloved" (at the PMA) taking notes and making memory sketches in my notepad a guard came over and asked if I was an artist. He was an impressive physical guy with a tear drop tatoo off the corner of one eye. A little art chat and then he showed me two sketches he had done while in the galleries. I made some comments and offered some ideas. I think he was happy that I understood the images and supported what he was doing. Ending the conversation he wanted me to have the sketches. He will do more and I will share these with you. –Nic Coviello
