Ceramic Shows in Philadelphia


I checked out a few of the shows related to the NCECA (see below), some that are being held in North Philadelphia. Most of the work was of a very high quality and quite a variety of work is represented with everything from very traditional to highly experimental. I can recommend "One degree of Separation" at the Photo Studio Philadelphia space at 2337 Amber. The image above is from artist Jerry KaBa who has a few fine pieces in this exhibition.

While you are there visit pteroddactyl at 3237 Amber Street on the 5th floor for their "Animal Show" with work from 9 artists.

This year, The Clay Studio and city of Philadelphia will host, for the third time, the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) annual conference featuring keynote speaker, Terry Gross, award-winning host of Fresh Air on NPR.
