I'm very happy to be a part of a group that will exhibiting with Artslant at Aqua Art Miami. The Artslant artists this year are Hannes Bend (who I posted here in Jan.), Robert Minervini, Chantel Foretich, Vincent Romaniello and Kirk Crippens. I see that two Philadelphia galleries, Bridgette Mayer and Gallery 339, will also be part of Aqua10.
Above is a piece I made while at chashama this summer. Job loss has been an enduring problem during the Great Recession and a pink slip serves as an icon of this period in history. Pink Slip, 48x84 inches, acrylic paint on pink seamless backdrop paper, 2010. This piece and other work will be on view at Aqua10.
