i have always been fascinated by these propaganda posters, mostly seen in old reference books in musty library carrels. now they gain cache because they are refreshingly straight forward in content and style

These look very fresh and contemporary in person. At first I thought someone was doing a spoof. And I also thought they might be lithographs but they're all hand painted.

The last one reminded me a lot of the Rivera "Moscow Sketchbook" pages we saw at MoMA that are still up.
