Jon Manteau Exhibition Opens April 1
I visited Jon Manteau's studio last month while he was working on his solo show that opens on April Fools' Day. I think it would be a shame to give away too much at this point, so all you get is this beautiful little teaser. It is possibly the smallest piece in the show, considering that the largest is a 24' wide painting with a forest of trees planted just a few inches from its face. The exhibition will be an ambitious multimedia extravaganza with numerous paintings, sculptures, works on paper, and tagged tools from the studio.
And, then there is the video that you can watch now. It's titled "Gumtrees and Ghosts" made by Woodshop Films in Philadelphia.
