I visited the LGTripp Gallery with artist David Foss this week. He and Luella Tripp, the gallery director, walked me through the large solo show of paintings and wood assemblage sculptures. If you like powerful abstraction I recommend a visit.
Walking through Old City we noticed a couple of spaces we hadn't visited before. The image at the top is from The Salt Gallery with artist/owner, Michael Veneziale.
Over at Flotsam + Jetsam there's a group show of mixed media works including the photograph by Lauren Semivan.
All three of these galleries are relatively new and important additions to the Philadelphia art scene.
