John Spike on Caravaggio @ Temple

On November 2 remember to get out and vote and to attend the lecture on the infamous, amazing painter Caravaggio. John T. Spike, internationally respected critic and historian of art, has published major books on the Florentine Renaissance, including Masaccio and Fra Angelico. He also is known for organizing exhibitions of Italian art and was the director of the Biennale Internazionale dell'Arte Contemporanea, the year that I participated.

His new book on the Young Michelangelo is out now, see my earlier post for details.

Mr. Spike will be speaking at Temple University on November 2 from 5-6 pm with a reception following. Kiva Auditorium, Ritter Hall Annex, Main Campus. This event is open to the public.
